About Us
I’m Kirsten, and the other smiling face in the photo above is my husband Jace. We were married on October 2nd of 2010. I suppose since you came to the ‘About’ page you’d like to know a little about us.
Jace always wears a hat with the 1Up Mushroom from Mario Bros on it. He’s worn a version of the hat for as long as I have known him, and people get confused when he’s not wearing it. (No, he did not wear it at the wedding)
I am obsessed with the color blue. I also like dabbling in various creative things from web design to photography to writing to drawing. I’m a complete amateur at all of it, but I like to pretend differently.
By day, both of us write software for a living, although for different companies. We’re quite geeky and into video games, sci-fi/fantasy, and other tech-related things.
The Blog
We bought our first house in April of 2011 and are very excited to make our house a home. The blog is a way to keep track of and to share our various domestic projects. We’re starting from zero in terms of knowledge, but we’re very enthusiastic and have incredible Google skills. Join us as we dive into home ownership and transform a blank slate into something that is truly ours.
I’ll also share some various other tidbits, from our favorite recipes, to local restaurants, to my photography adventures.
